Nicole Inglis

SPECIAL COUNSEL

Nicole works alongside Fiona Merrylees and Bridget Coutts in the SMR Legal Family Law department.

Nicole has dedicated her career to serving family law clients in the Goulburn Valley having worked in this area exclusively throughout her career. She commenced her practical training in the Goulburn Valley in 1995 and then practiced law for fourteen years, becoming a Director at a local legal firm for eight years before leaving the law in June 2009 to be with her children and more involved on the family dairy farm.

In her time away from law, Nicole worked extensively as a volunteer in the local community including as a secretary of a tennis club, secretary of a netball association and director of Kyabram District Health Service where she was the board chair for a number of years. In 2020 Nicole joined Goulburn Valley Health as a director on the board. She is currently Deputy Chair and also chairs the Governance and Chief Executive Performance Committee.

Nicole joined the SMR Legal team in August 2019 and assists clients to navigate the Family Law system to achieve an expeditious and appropriate outcome. Nicole regularly appears in Court and at mediations on behalf of clients online and in person including in Shepparton and Melbourne.
